May 17, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2783 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1854 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2958 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Tuesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. LIFE PARTNERS HOLDINGS INC (NASDAQ:LPHI), SUPERTEL HOSPITALITY INC (NASDAQ:SPPR), ARCA BIOPHARMA INC (NASDAQ:ABIO), PRIME SUN POWER INC (OTCBB:PSPW), SNAP INTERACTIVE INC (OTCBB:STVI), Easy Groups Ltd. (OTC:ESYL). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     LPHI $-0.860 -15.95% 362,325 41.64% 496,992 57.12% -134,667 -1,566
     SPPR $-0.250 -20.00% 246,968 40.64% 360,796 59.36% -113,828 -4,553
     ABIO $-0.490 -17.25% 1,150,197 47.95% 1,246,230 51.95% -96,033 -1,960
     PSPW $-0.670 -37.22% 269,213 22.62% 419,248 35.23% -150,035 -2,239
     STVI $-0.660 -22.84% 167,388 16.56% 240,226 23.77% -72,838 -1,104
     ESYL $-0.220 -16.67% 146,051 19.56% 401,246 53.74% -255,195 -11,600
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows LPHI with a dollar loss Tuesday of $-0.86000 and a Friction Factor of -1,566 shares. That means that it only took 1,566 more shares of selling than buying to move LPHI lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
