May 16, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 2454 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1420 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3791 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. PFIZER INC (NYSE:PFE), ORTHOVITA INC (NASDAQ:VITA), MICRON TECHNOLOGY INC (NASDAQ:MU), REGIONS FINANCIAL CORP (NYSE:RF), RAMOIL MANAGEMENT LTD (OTC:RAMO), PERVASIP CORP (OTC:PVSP). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     PFE $0.060 0.29% 18,095,038 41.82% 11,572,860 26.74% 6,522,178 1,087,030
     VITA $1.090 39.93% 21,565,115 51.95% 19,946,242 48.05% 1,618,873 14,852
     MU $0.120 1.15% 19,988,281 52.07% 18,393,834 47.92% 1,594,447 132,871
     RF $0.080 1.13% 5,139,694 42.19% 2,982,636 24.48% 2,157,058 269,632
     RAMO $0.030 125.00% 10,753,920 63.03% 5,804,368 34.02% 4,949,552 1,649,851
     PVSP $0.015 135.45% 7,963,953 60.79% 4,853,256 37.05% 3,110,697 2,087,716
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PFE with a Net Buy Volume of 6,522,178 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,087,030 shares. That means that it takes 1,087,030 more shares of buying than selling to move PFE higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
