May 12, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 2616 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2784 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1959 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. INTEL CORP (NASDAQ:INTC), BAYERISCHE MOTERENWE (OTC:BAMXF), ISHARES RUSSELL 2000 (NYSE:IWM), ISHARES MSCI EMERGING MKT IN (NYSE:EEM), ISHARES MSCI TAIWAN INDEX FD (NYSE:EWT), WILSHIRE BANCORP INC (NASDAQ:WIBC). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     INTC $0.290 1.24% 34,781,915 52.52% 32,480,146 49.04% 2,301,769 79,371
     BAMXF $1.190 1.34% 18,100,200 90.05% 2,000,000 9.95% 16,100,200 135,296
     IWM $0.760 0.91% 16,004,258 20.02% 13,100,141 16.38% 2,904,117 38,212
     EEM $0.170 0.36% 18,469,704 26.08% 15,292,940 21.59% 3,176,764 186,868
     EWT $0.170 1.08% 5,055,850 42.13% 2,939,245 24.49% 2,116,605 124,506
     WIBC $0.130 4.25% 14,320,306 61.60% 10,714,747 46.09% 3,605,559 277,351
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows INTC with a Net Buy Volume of 2,301,769 shares and a Friction Factor of 79,371 shares. That means that it takes 79,371 more shares of buying than selling to move INTC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
