April 26, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2643 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3307 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1959 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ISHARES MSCI EMERGING MKT IN (NYSE:EEM), DELL INC (NASDAQ:DELL), RITE AID CORP (NYSE:RAD), US BANCORP (NYSE:USB), HUNTINGTON BANCSHARES INC (NASDAQ:HBAN), INDUSTRIAL SELECT SECT SPDR (NYSE:XLI). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     EEM $0.340 0.68% 15,310,650 36.93% 9,362,656 22.58% 5,947,994 174,941
     DELL $0.390 2.54% 18,097,498 51.62% 15,215,695 43.40% 2,881,803 73,892
     RAD $0.070 6.80% 4,370,659 39.68% 2,205,149 20.02% 2,165,510 309,359
     USB $0.050 0.20% 8,568,519 39.84% 6,215,540 28.90% 2,352,979 470,596
     HBAN $0.030 0.49% 10,140,431 65.91% 4,557,880 29.63% 5,582,551 1,860,850
     XLI $0.670 1.79% 5,485,919 40.65% 2,957,855 21.92% 2,528,064 37,732
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EEM with a Net Buy Volume of 5,947,994 shares and a Friction Factor of 174,941 shares. That means that it takes 174,941 more shares of buying than selling to move EEM higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
