April 26, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2643 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3307 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1959 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Tuesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. BANK OF AMERICA CORP (NYSE:BAC), TELLABS INC (NASDAQ:TLAB), SYNOVUS FINANCIAL CORP (NYSE:SNV), LAWSON SOFTWARE INC (NASDAQ:LWSN), E*TRADE FINANCIAL CORP (NASDAQ:ETFC), BEBIDA BEVERAGE CO (OTC:BBDA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction

     TLAB $-0.490 -9.09% 10,634,417 42.55% 14,347,275 57.41% -3,712,858 -75,773
     SNV $-0.060 -2.37% 8,864,452 32.72% 11,685,652 43.14% -2,821,200 -470,200
     LWSN $-1.060 -8.70% 25,473,513 43.76% 32,742,425 56.24% -7,268,912 -68,575
     ETFC $-0.650 -3.87% 6,652,351 38.52% 10,588,084 61.30% -3,935,733 -60,550
     BBDA $-0.010 -58.82% 5,005,360 34.44% 9,529,799 65.56% -4,524,439 -4,524,439
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC down $-0.20000 with a Friction Factor of -293,456 and a Net Volume of -5,869,110. That means that it takes 293,456 more shares of selling than buying to drop BAC by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
