April 19, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2528 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2844 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2247 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. REDIFF.COM INDIA LIMITED-ADR (NASDAQ:REDF), QUEPASA CORP (AMEX:QPSA), AUTHENTIDATE HOLDING CORP (NASDAQ:ADAT), EMS TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:ELMG), BLACKBOARD INC (NASDAQ:BBBB), SINO-GLOBAL SHIPPING AMERICA (NASDAQ:SINO). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     REDF $1.810 19.76% 3,057,008 52.60% 2,705,433 46.55% 351,575 1,942
     QPSA $1.200 23.53% 980,329 54.22% 825,323 45.65% 155,006 1,292
     ADAT $0.200 15.84% 1,112,370 61.09% 694,849 38.16% 417,521 20,876
     ELMG $3.270 15.75% 258,065 50.80% 220,195 43.35% 37,870 116
     BBBB $10.690 28.77% 3,922,133 48.86% 3,739,595 46.59% 182,538 171
     SINO $0.940 48.70% 130,474 58.18% 93,462 41.68% 37,012 394
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows REDF with a dollar gain Tuesday of $1.81000 and a Friction Factor of 1,942 shares. That means that it only took 1,942 more shares of buying than selling to move REDF higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
