March 16, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 2272 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1418 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4260 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ISHARES BARCLAYS 20+ YEAR TR (NYSE:TLT), CELL THERAPEUTICS INC (NASDAQ:CTIC), ISHARES BARCLAYS 1-3 YEAR TR (NYSE:SHY), POWERWAVE TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:PWAV), PROSHARES ULTRASHORT S&P500 (AMEX:SDS), GLOBAL HEALTH VENTURES INC (OTCBB:GHLV). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     TLT $1.010 1.09% 13,547,335 56.16% 11,239,508 46.60% 2,307,827 22,850
     CTIC $0.040 12.12% 10,449,242 53.42% 8,809,786 45.04% 1,639,456 409,864
     SHY $0.120 0.14% 1,810,760 69.55% 811,976 31.19% 998,784 83,232
     PWAV $0.210 5.74% 3,264,361 58.93% 2,273,077 41.04% 991,284 47,204
     SDS $0.800 3.56% 35,743,043 51.38% 33,334,925 47.92% 2,408,118 30,101
     GHLV $0.010 19.05% 2,539,334 71.49% 1,006,128 28.33% 1,533,206 1,533,206
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TLT with a Net Buy Volume of 2,307,827 shares and a Friction Factor of 22,850 shares. That means that it takes 22,850 more shares of buying than selling to move TLT higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
