March 10, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 2144 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1007 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4619 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ISHARES BARCLAYS 20+ YEAR TR (NYSE:TLT), UC HUB GROUP INC (OTCBB:UCHB), PROSHARES ULTRASHORT S&P500 (AMEX:SDS), JDS UNIPHASE CORP (NASDAQ:JDSU), HUMAN GENOME SCIENCES INC (NASDAQ:HGSI), TECTON CORP (OTC:TTNC). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     TLT $1.510 1.67% 7,817,302 58.54% 6,130,022 45.90% 1,687,280 11,174
     UCHB $0.012 60.00% 2,635,022 72.56% 996,500 27.44% 1,638,522 1,365,435
     SDS $0.810 3.81% 19,864,877 52.67% 18,355,162 48.67% 1,509,715 18,638
     JDSU $0.440 2.06% 13,656,705 52.60% 12,156,307 46.82% 1,500,398 34,100
     HGSI $3.320 12.93% 17,864,968 52.46% 16,322,919 47.93% 1,542,049 4,645
     TTNC $0.013 166.67% 2,813,579 78.22% 770,780 21.43% 2,042,799 1,634,239
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TLT with a Net Buy Volume of 1,687,280 shares and a Friction Factor of 11,174 shares. That means that it takes 11,174 more shares of buying than selling to move TLT higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
