February 22, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2064 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1098 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4768 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ISHARES BARCLAYS 20+ YEAR TR (NYSE:TLT), DELEK RESOURCES INC (OTC:DLKR), KRAFT FOODS INC-CLASS A (NYSE:KFT), PROSHARES ULTRASHORT S&P500 (NYSE:SDS), ISHARES SILVER TRUST (NYSE:SLV), DIREXION DLY LG CAP BEAR 3X (NYSE:BGZ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     TLT $1.260 1.41% 7,662,625 64.40% 4,834,488 40.63% 2,828,137 22,446
     DLKR $0.049 816.67% 2,814,705 58.12% 1,322,311 27.30% 1,492,394 304,570
     KFT $0.560 1.81% 7,058,767 49.34% 5,795,283 40.51% 1,263,484 22,562
     SDS $0.820 3.96% 20,054,443 52.52% 17,632,167 46.18% 2,422,276 29,540
     SLV $0.530 1.68% 23,295,543 50.47% 20,550,703 44.53% 2,744,840 51,789
     BGZ $0.440 6.21% 8,083,689 61.39% 5,083,841 38.61% 2,999,848 68,178
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TLT with a Net Buy Volume of 2,828,137 shares and a Friction Factor of 22,446 shares. That means that it takes 22,446 more shares of buying than selling to move TLT higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
