February 22, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2064 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1098 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4768 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. FAR EAST ENERGY CORP (OTCBB:FEEC), EXXON MOBIL CORP (NYSE:XOM), FIFTH THIRD BANCORP (NASDAQ:FITB), PROSHRE ULT DJ-UBS CRUDE OIL (NYSE:UCO), POWERSHARES DB OIL FUND (NYSE:DBO), CANNABIS SCIENCE INC (OTCBB:CBIS). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     FEEC $0.015 2.63% 1,048,507 31.66% 2,262,810 68.33% -1,214,303 Abnormal
     XOM $1.050 1.24% 12,404,759 38.94% 14,109,226 44.29% -1,704,467 Abnormal
     FITB $0.030 0.18% 8,591,294 43.17% 11,301,411 56.79% -2,710,117 Abnormal
     UCO $0.970 8.96% 9,982,792 43.68% 13,569,839 59.37% -3,587,047 Abnormal
     DBO $0.910 3.19% 1,158,938 33.36% 2,314,704 66.64% -1,155,766 Abnormal
     CBIS $0.035 105.67% 8,446,225 43.42% 10,619,566 54.59% -2,173,341 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Tuesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FEEC with 1,214,303 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.01500. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
