February 9, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 2551 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1978 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3299 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ISHARES MSCI GERMANY INDEX (NYSE:EWG), DIREXION DLY SM CAP BEAR 3X (NYSE:TZA), WALT DISNEY CO/THE (NYSE:DIS), PROSHARES QQQ ULTRASHORT (NYSE:QID), AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES LTD (NASDAQ:AVGO), US NATURAL GAS FUND LP (NYSE:UNG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     EWG $0.180 0.69% 12,320,569 78.96% 2,823,761 18.10% 9,496,808 527,600
     TZA $0.140 1.03% 17,747,573 54.56% 14,862,893 45.69% 2,884,680 206,049
     DIS $2.160 5.25% 16,950,781 47.51% 14,596,131 40.91% 2,354,650 10,901
     QID $0.040 0.37% 8,539,153 58.37% 6,196,287 42.35% 2,342,866 585,717
     AVGO $0.990 3.10% 3,392,418 79.05% 873,689 20.36% 2,518,729 25,442
     UNG $0.020 0.40% 11,615,438 58.99% 8,242,952 41.86% 3,372,486 1,686,243

Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows UNG with a Net Buy Volume of 3,372,486 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,686,243 shares. That means that it takes 1,686,243 more shares of buying than selling to move UNG higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
