December 30, 2010 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 2674 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2545 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2855 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. CHINA DIRECT INDUSTRIES INC (NASDAQ:CDII), ZBB ENERGY CORP (AMEX:ZBB), DARA BIOSCIENCES INC (NASDAQ:DARA), CHINA PRECISION STEEL INC (NASDAQ:CPSL), FROZEN FOOD EXPRESS INDS (NASDAQ:FFEX), CHINA CARBON GRAPHITE GROUP (OTCBB:CHGI). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     CDII $0.430 30.07% 7,866,927 52.33% 7,153,968 47.59% 712,959 16,580
     ZBB $0.220 23.16% 482,355 58.19% 346,514 41.81% 135,841 6,175
     DARA $0.620 22.30% 493,178 56.54% 376,978 43.22% 116,200 1,874
     CPSL $0.340 20.99% 4,182,519 55.12% 3,392,785 44.71% 789,734 23,227
     FFEX $0.830 21.39% 85,083 44.27% 35,987 18.73% 49,096 592
     CHGI $0.300 25.64% 341,731 77.41% 90,332 20.46% 251,399 8,380

Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CHGI with a dollar gain Thursday of $0.30000 and a Friction Factor of 8,380 shares. That means that it only took 8,380 more shares of buying than selling to move CHGI higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
