December 14, 2010 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2560 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2329 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2861 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. MICROSOFT CORP (NASDAQ:MSFT), MYLAN INC (NASDAQ:MYL), VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS INC (NYSE:VZ), EMC CORP/MASS (NYSE:EMC), SIRIUS XM RADIO INC (NASDAQ:SIRI), COMCAST CORP-CLASS A (NASDAQ:CMCSA). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     MSFT $0.370 1.38% 36,791,878 56.92% 27,745,953 42.93% 9,045,925 244,484
     MYL $0.660 3.31% 6,124,286 57.75% 4,481,003 42.25% 1,643,283 24,898
     VZ $0.560 1.64% 8,885,342 50.34% 7,120,560 40.34% 1,764,782 31,514
     EMC $0.180 0.81% 7,900,182 47.66% 6,368,907 38.42% 1,531,275 85,071
     SIRI $0.010 0.72% 11,996,412 63.97% 6,754,885 36.02% 5,241,527 5,241,527
     CMCSA $0.700 3.28% 16,265,437 53.00% 14,400,982 46.93% 1,864,455 26,635

Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CMCSA with a Net Buy Volume of 1,864,455 shares and a Friction Factor of 26,635 shares. That means that it takes 26,635 more shares of buying than selling to move CMCSA higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
