November 26, 2010 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 2463 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1767 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3015 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. IGO INC (NASDAQ:IGOI), BIODEL INC (NASDAQ:BIOD), URANIUM RESOURCES INC (NASDAQ:URRE), MEGA URANIUM LTD (OTC:MGAFF), SYNUTRA INTERNATIONAL INC (NASDAQ:SYUT), EON COMMUNICATIONS CORP (NASDAQ:EONC). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     IGOI $0.350 12.91% 410,607 62.26% 238,884 36.22% 171,723 4,906
     BIOD $0.200 12.42% 611,003 61.82% 340,388 34.44% 270,615 13,531
     URRE $0.360 12.68% 3,488,855 57.73% 2,551,071 42.21% 937,784 26,050
     MGAFF $0.167 19.77% 194,980 47.80% 131,614 32.27% 63,366 3,801
     SYUT $2.130 17.08% 267,851 63.13% 156,335 36.85% 111,516 524
     EONC $0.530 20.00% 101,833 49.62% 97,993 47.75% 3,840 72

Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EONC with a dollar gain Friday of $0.53000 and a Friction Factor of 72 shares. That means that it only took 72 more shares of buying than selling to move EONC higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
