  • NBFID has established separate teams within its Credit Administration - Operations & Monitoring Department to oversee project loan disbursements and execution.

The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) has secured Rs 20,000 crore in equity support and an additional Rs 5,000 crore as a grant from the Indian government to bolster its operations. This financial backing aims to enhance NaBFID's capacity to fund infrastructure projects across India, which are crucial for economic development. The equity infusion will help NaBFID in providing long-term, low-cost financing for infrastructure, thereby supporting the government's push towards infrastructure-led growth. This move is part of a broader strategy to attract more private investment into infrastructure by reducing the financial risks associated with such long-term projects.
