The UAE Cabinet, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, reviewed the country's achievements in the 2024 Global Competitiveness Reports during a meeting held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. The UAE has advanced in several key areas, including ranking first globally in the absence of red tape, second in the efficiency of government services, and third in the quality of infrastructure and energy infrastructure. Additionally, the Cabinet approved the formation of the Education, Human Development, and Community Council, aimed at enhancing educational and human development initiatives. The meeting also covered topics like the UAE's performance in the Global Innovation Index, where it ranked 11th, and the Global Cybersecurity Index, where it ranked 7th. Furthermore, discussions included the UAE's progress in the Travel and Tourism Development Index, ranking 12th, and its position in the Global Soft Power Index at 10th place. The Cabinet also addressed the formation of a new council focused on education, human development, and community enhancement, signaling a strategic focus on these sectors for future development.
